Position Overview: The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Montana State University-Bozeman seeks non-tenure track instructors for the Spring 2025 semester to teach Sociology Research Methods and Senior Thesis Capstone. Applicants should hold a Master's or PhD in Sociology, Criminology, or a closely related field.Duties include:· Teaching face-to-face courses· Holding office hours and communicating with studentsRequired Qualifications1. Master's or PhD degree in Sociology, Criminology, or a related discipline2. Teaching experience in a face-to-face lecture formatPreferred Qualifications1. Teaching experience including statistics, research methods, or senior capstone2. Evidence of teaching excellenceThe Successful Candidate Will· Be a dynamic instructor who has broad knowledge in sociology or criminology· Have excellent written and oral communication skills· Have the ability to inspire and facilitate learning among a diverse student body· Have the ability to work well with colleagues, students, others, and contribute to a collegial environment· Have experience teaching undergraduates in sociology or criminology
