Position Summary:The Inpatient Float Pool Nurse Supervisor will work in collaboration with nursing leadership to develop and implement patient care policies to ensure they are based on evidence and/or best practice nursing standards and comply with regulatory requirements. As new nursing knowledge and innovations in practice advance, works to implement and monitor the application into practice. Ensures standardized implementation across their area of responsibility by working closely with the nurses. Coordinates the activities of the nursing staff, including appropriate staffing levels to ensure quality and safe patient centered care.Minimum Qualifications:RequiredBachelors of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) within two (2) years of hireCurrent Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)American Heart Association BLSACLS certification within six (6) months of hirePALS or ENPC certification within one (1) year of hireTwo (2) years of nursing experiencePreferredMaster of Science, Nursing (MSN) or Master's degree in related fieldPrior nursing supervisory experienceEssential Job Functions:In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.Assists leadership with broad operations to ensure the provision of comprehensive departmental services in compliance with all regulatory agencies and hospital requirements.Ensures a collaborative departmental approach to long-range strategic operational planning, care and service design and development of organizational policies, which reflect the mission of the organization.Coordinates and oversees the organization-wide departmental services.
