Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Job Specialty: MRI Technologist Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid - 3x12 - 12pm - 12:30am, 36 hours per week Guaranteed Hours: 36 Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified License: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certified Certifications: MRI Technician certification Must-Have: Must be registered in MRI Job Description: - Provide healthcare services by assisting in diagnosis or treatment. - Perform MRI procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by or upon request of a licensed practitioner. - Carry out MRI exams and procedures as requested by medical staff. - Assist Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures. - Perform ancillary duties to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archiving of exams and procedures. - Complete documentation in designated areas for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams. - Retrieve and file exam jackets, written orders, and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of MRI exams and procedures. - Participate in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of hospital quality indicators as described in the strategic plan. - Must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered for the assignment. - Facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract in the event of low census or other unforeseen circumstances. - Holiday coverage is required. - Experience with EPIC EMR system is preferred. - Must be willing to work in a Level 3 Trauma Center with a bed size of 50-149.
