The Opportunity with McKinstryWe are adding a Superintendent to our growing Energy division in Montana. The Superintendent will ensure project success through on-site management of subcontractors and maintenance of client relationships. Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include:
  • Developing and updating project schedules.
  • Approving daily work tickets.
  • Reviewing submittals.
  • Setting up and tearing down job site logistics.
  • Coordination with Subcontractors of the project.
  • Ensure all safety policies and paperwork are being adhered to on project sites.
  • Writing and reviewing scopes of work.
  • Assisting Project Manager with bid procurement.
  • Managing and closing out punch list activities in a timely manner.
  • Communication with field personnel.
  • Develop and maintain logs and reports as required for project execution.
  • Maintain daily logs of work performed by McKinstry and subcontractors onsite.
  • Develop RFIs as required to document changes to the scope of work.What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
    • Commercial General Contractor experience required.
    • OSHA 30 certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of assuming position.
    • Working knowledge of scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera and/or Bluebeam required.
    • Knowledge of construction management, commercial building process, and OSHA standards required.
    • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
    • 6- 10 years of leadership of trades and job sites preferred.
    • BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture or Facilities Management or equivalent work experience preferred.

Base pay information is based on market location.
