Job Title: MRI Technologist Job Specialty: Diagnostic Imaging Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Friday-Sunday, 8am-8pm (12-hour day shifts) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified License: Must be registered in MRI Certifications: Graduate of a CAHEA accredited Radiology program, ARRT Certified MRI Technician certification Must-Have: Must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered Job Description: - The MRI Technologist provides health care services by assisting in diagnosis or treatment. - Performs MRI procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. - Completes MRI exams and procedures as requested by medical staff. - Assists Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures. - Performs ancillary duties to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures. - Completes documentation, in designated area, of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams. - Retrieves and files exam jackets, written orders, and related health information to ensure the timely performance and reporting of MRI exams and procedures. - Participates in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of the hospital quality indicators as described in the strategic plan. - Provides holiday coverage as required. Additional Information: Facility reserves the right to cancel three shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or other unforeseen circumstances.
