Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Prepared Foods Department Supervisor to join our team at Whole Foods Market. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and delegating tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members, working with the Prepared Foods Trainer to train Team Members, and assisting in the training of new Team Members.Responsibilities

• Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and delegate tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members, ensuring a high level of performance and productivity.
• Training and Development: Work with the Prepared Foods Trainer to train Team Members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials to build a high-performance team.
• Team Management: Assist in the training of new Team Members, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
• Department Maintenance: Ensure all cases and shelves are clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated, and that all necessary breaks are given.
• Communication: Communicate team concerns to the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader, and respond promptly to customer needs and questions.
• Performance Evaluation: Provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations to Team Members.Requirements
  • Experience: 12+ months retail experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and policies, strong organizational and time management skills, excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills, and proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday, and work in a fast-paced environment.
